Tweets are back on Google Search
Twitter and Google have collaborated on including the tweets in Google Search again after four years. For now, the tweets will appear in the Google Search app or any browser on the phone or tablets. The desktop version will be launched soon as well.
This move will make the tweets searchable on Google and results for a, for example, #MadMenFinale will include tweets as well.
The feature is currently available in U.S. only but will be launched to more countries and in more languages soon, said Twitter.
When tapping on a Tweet in Google search, users will be taken directly to Twitter where they can view the Tweet and ‘discover additional content’.
Twitter said in an official blog post, “By deeply integrating Twitter’s real-time content into Google search, we hope you find it easier than ever to explore your interests across both Twitter and Google.”
Google said in a company blog, “It’s a great way to get real-time info when something is happening. And it’s another way for organizations and people on Twitter to reach a global audience at the most relevant moments.”
