Siegel+Gale strengthens Shanghai Office with new GM hire
Global brand strategy, design and experience firm Siegel+Gale has appointed Johnson Gu as General Manager and Executive Creative Director for the Shanghai office. Mr Gu brings more than 16 years of branding, design and innovation experience to the firm.
Mr Gu joins Siegel+Gale having built a dynamic career providing strategic and creative solutions to both international and local clients in China. He has led many successful client engagements throughout his career, including HUAWEI Technologies, Alibaba Ant Financial, Tsingtao Beer, Vanke, China Unionpay, Hilton, Mercedes-Benz, Thomson Reuters, Mindary Medical CITICPE and China Merchants Securities. His expertise spans corporate and brand identity, packaging, print and digital design.

Mr Gu joins Siegel+Gale from FutureBrand, where he served as Executive Creative Director, North Asia, and Office Head, Shanghai and Beijing. Before this, Mr Gu held senior positions at Dragon Rouge, Interbrand and The Brand Union. The recipient of many design accolades, including Reddot ‘Best of Best’, Rebrand and Transform Awards, Mr Gu holds a bachelor’s degree in visual communication from LaSalle International Design School and Middlesex University.
