Google gobbles Gecko
Google recently acquired the mechanical engineering and product-design company Gecko Design Inc. to strengthen the design expertise of Google X, Google’s state-of-the-art facility of technological innovation.
“This is an incredible opportunity for everyone at Gecko. We are very excited and honored to join Google(x) and work on a variety of cutting edge projects,” commented Jacques Gagne, President and Owner, Gecko, on its website.
Founded in 1996, Gecko specialises in consumer product development and works with industrial designers and engineers early on, before the manufacturing process begins.
