EVA Air picks a travel style for your personality
EVA Air, the Taiwanese International Airline has launched a digital campaign, ‘Map My Personality’ along with its digital partner, KRDS Singapore. The campaign aims to provide awareness about the airline’s extensive in-flight services along with the destination routes provided by the airline.
The campaign generates awareness on EVA Air’s travel classes by providing specific information to users based on their personality traits and travel preferences.
As each traveller has a unique personality, EVA Air wanted to connect to its customers in an effective way by creating interactive personality mapping tests and daily quizzes.
Preetham Venkky, Head of Digital Strategy & Business, KRDS Singapore explained the concept behind the campaign, “There are travellers of every kind; from backpackers, to business travellers, to romantic travellers, to history buffs. We travel to satiate our need to explore the world beyond our homes. But the destinations we travel to and the way we travel represent who we are. They are an extension of our personality. We thought it would be a great idea to show users how they can travel based on their personality.”
The platform asks travellers to answer questions based on their travel preferences. Following this, the users are redirected to specific EVA Air videos based on their personality test results. The videos provide users an insight into the in-flight services at EVA Air along with the travel classes and destination routes.
Mr Venkky explained, “In a world where most travellers consider flights to be a mere mode of transport, we wanted to showcase how, with EVA Air, journeys can sometimes be the destination. The takeaway for the users: is to enjoy the journey (flight travel in this case) just as much as you enjoy the destination you are travelling to.”
Users can also invite their friends and share this campaign on their social media profiles to earn more points.
The campaign saw close to 2,000 users participate in a span of a week. Over 10,000 questions have been answered and an average time spent by a user on the platform has been three minutes and 45 seconds. Mr Venkky concluded, “The response of the campaign has been great so far. Way better than we’d expected. and beats the results of most other campaigns by a long shot.”
