Amnet Asia names Joshua Lee as Platforms and Technology Lead

Dentsu Aegis Network’s trading desk, Amnet, has appointed Joshua Lee to the role of Platforms and Technology Lead, Amnet Asia, effective immediately. The appointment is a new role following the launch of various innovative product offerings and continues to see Mr Lee based here in Singapore.

As part of the Amnet Asia management team, Mr Lee will be responsible for driving platform strategies and the assessment, adoption and measurement of various DSP and DMP platforms while working very closely with other members John Thankamony, Head of Operations and Analytics as well as Marc Langenfeld, Regional Account Director, and Mandar Kambli, Publisher Development Lead – both of whom are the latest addition to the team, to develop first-class programmatic and data strategy for clients. He will also work with the brands across the network and their clients to ensure full adoption of the network’s data management platform – Amnet Audience Centre. Mr Lee will report to Anna Chan, Managing Director at Amnet Asia.

Mr Lee brings with him over 15 years of experience in the online advertising space and has worked with a wide spectrum of businesses – including in-house roles at Standard Chartered Bank and agency roles for clients like Resorts World Sentosa and Samsung, in the many different facets of digital marketing.

Since 2012, Mr Lee was Platforms and Technology Director at Dentsu Aegis Network Singapore, where he oversaw digital initiatives across business teams, in particular in the area of programmatic planning and buying. Prior to that, Mr Lee came from Starcom MediaVest Group, where he was Digital Lead for its Singapore office where he rolled out agency-wide digital media training programme in the Singapore offices.

Ms Chan said, “Joshua has a deep knowledge and understanding of the ad tech ecosystem that we know will be a significant addition to the brand’s innovative DNA and offerings in the region. His extensive experience in digital media will be a boost to our Asia Pacific expansion plans and I’m very excited to have Joshua join the team.”

Mr Lee said, “The programmatic media landscape is rapidly evolving alongside the use and abundance of client-owned data, the essential ingredient that makes it so effective. Amnet is technology agnostic and we have the right expertise in place, to help our clients realise the full potential of programmatic advertising. I believe this is the right step forward for me following my career at the network.”
