Oracle names Golin as regional agency for APAC
Following a competitive pitch, Oracle – the enterprise technology giant which empowers modern businesses through its comprehensive cloud services – has appointed Golin to be its lead agency in Asia Pacific. Golin, an Interpublic Group (IPG) company, will apply its core strengths in PR, digital and content to support Oracle’s communications strategy across the APAC region.
With more than 420,000 customers in 145 countries, Oracle offers a fully integrated stack of cloud applications, platform services, and engineered systems. Oracle’s cloud solutions accelerate modern business, enabling companies both large and small to uncover competitive advantage through the next generation of cloud-based enterprise technology.
Building on a 13-year partnership between Oracle and IPG in EMEA, Golin will deliver synergies to consolidate Oracle’s global reputation as a cloud computing leader through a seamless international programme.
Marc Sparrow, Executive Director at Golin, said, “Our regional technology portfolio is expanding rapidly and bringing a market leader like Oracle into the Golin fold underlines our expertise in this space. We aim to place Oracle at the centre of debate on the themes and issues shaping business and society across Asia Pacific. By working closely with Oracle teams in the region, we will create bold, memorable campaigns that bring Oracle’s cloud leadership to life.”
Golin’s integrated strategy will be channel agnostic and involve the creation of stories and perspectives that demonstrate Oracle’s role in addressing a broad range of the challenges faced by APAC’s business leaders. Supporting Oracle’s digitally-focused communications strategy in Asia, Golin’s campaign will look to drive innovation in easily sharable long- and short-form content.
Chris Talago, Vice President of PR & Communications for JAPAC and EMEA at Oracle, said, “Golin demonstrates a strong depth of knowledge in our business, our technologies and the many challenges facing our customers in Asia Pacific. What’s more, the agency is also finding new ways to communicate our capabilities to a broad range of audiences. The business technology sector is a brutally competitive space, and with Golin’s support we look forward to showcasing the strengths and attractions of Oracle’s cloud services to firms throughout the region.”
Securing the business of Oracle in APAC marks the latest in a string of new technology wins for the agency. Golin’s regional technology portfolio now includes TI, Worldpay, Ciena, Renishaw, JOS and Grapeshot.
