It finally is Dentsu Aegis Network in China with new leadership structure

Dentsu Aegis Network has set up a new management structure for its business in China with the objective of integrating the two brands completely as it has done in various other markets globally. The agency has appointed Motohiro Yamagishi as CEO Dentsu Aegis Network China and Phil Teeman to Group Managing Director. KF Lee will remain Chairwoman and Nubuaki Kyushima Chief Operating Officer. China was the last remaining market where the Dentsu Aegis integration was yet to take shape.

“The new Dentsu Aegis management structure in China represents the best in international and Chinese market experience. These changes form a balanced, strong and experienced team, well equipped to drive one of Dentsu Aegis Network’s largest businesses in the world,” said Nick Waters, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific.

“There are many opportunities with a business of over 4,000 people and with the right management in place we can drive the company forward and grow the business even further. I look forward to seeing more collaboration across the brands and to becoming one Dentsu Aegis Network here in China,” added Mr Yamagishi.

Mr Teeman observed, “The opportunity to work with a best-in-class management team to drive the integration of the company and grow the business is immense. I look forward to seeing Dentsu Aegis Network China flourish under the new management.”

In support of the new management structure and integration, Dentsu Aegis Network will co-locate all of its businesses in Shanghai into one premises in the Xintiandi area. Following the official establishment of Dentsu Aegis Network in January 2014, this is the biggest co-location to date with over 1,400 staff moving into one building – indicating its ambition and determination to speed up full integration in the China market.

Tadashi Ishii, President and CEO of Dentsu Inc., said that “China has always been one of the most important overseas markets to us, and its successful integration is key to our overall strategic layout and development. I am looking forward to seeing the new management team drive more growth in China. The Shanghai office co-location enables us to provide better integrated service to our clients.”
