Samsung Taps PayPal to Simplify Mobile Payments

Samsung Taps PayPal to Simplify Mobile Payments 300x200 Samsung Taps PayPal to Simplify Mobile PaymentsCarey Kolaja, VP of Global Product Solutions at PayPal, says Samsung has turned to PayPal to simplify the mobile payments process for its global army of mobile device owners.

With that revelation, PayPal is now officially a payment option across the Samsung ecosystem.

“From enabling consumers to pay for their favorite apps, e-books and more in the Samsung Apps and Hub stores to paying Samsung Apps developers across the globe, PayPal is the safer and easier way to get pay and get paid for purchases on mobile devices,” Kolaja says.

We’ve been working with developers since 2009 to help monetize their applications. Since then, hundreds of thousands of developers from around the world have been paid easily and securely with PayPal. We are excited that we are now available as a payout option for Samsung Apps developers.

Instead of waiting several days for wire transfers, PayPal explains, developers can now get paid right away – and securely – through PayPal, which has 132 million customers around the world.

PayPal’s mobile payment volume increased from $141 million in 2009 to $14 billion in 2012.

“This year, we expect to reach $20 billion in mobile payment volume,” Kolaja adds.
