MP & Silva has been appointed as the media distribution and commercial partner of Way of the Dragon (WOTD) Sports Company, which is official partner of Chinese Taipei Mixed Martial Arts Association (CTMMAA).

The appointment will see MP & Silva distributing WOTD Sports Company’s calendar of events, including the upcoming ‘RFC – Way of the Dragon Combat Sports Championship 02’ on 7-8 July. The event will feature top MMA fighters who competed in prestigious events such as Will “The Kill” Chope (36-14), Mario “Pimba” Schembri (31-5) and Rocky Lee (4-3) from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and Jeff “Machine” Huang (6-3) from the ONE Championship series.

WOTD Sports Company will also collaborate with MMA establishment Pancrase and invite three Japanese fighters, including Yuta Nakamura and Kyohei Wakimoto. Its Korean partner Korea Top Team (KTT) will also include Jun Yong Park (8-3) and Da Un Jung joining the calendar of events.

The agreement will also see MP & Silva overseeing sponsorship opportunities for the CTMMAA and their line-up of events in the Chinese Taipei.

Said CTMMA’s chairman, Wang Zun Kai, “We are encouraged by MP & Silva’s ability to expand the visibility of several up-and-coming sports properties and we very excited to explore new opportunities to help grow the sport in key markets in Asia and further develop our global TV audience.”

Said MP & Silva’s Wu Swee Sin, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, “Mixed martial arts continues to have a major following in Asia, and we are delighted to partner with the CTMMAA to help showcase their marquee events and grow their international presence. One of its ambitions is to be the biggest MMA property in China, and with our expertise and network, we look forward to working closely with them to build the profile of their events.”

The partnership builds on MP & Silva’s partnerships with fight sport properties, which include the World Boxing Super Series, a revolutionary bracket-style elimination tournament featuring the world’s best boxers competing for the ‘Muhammad Ali Trophy’ and a total of prize money of $50 million.
