IPG Mediabrands and TubeMogul Partner to Launch Industry’s First Ad-Tech Apprenticeship

SAN FRANCISCO – IPG Mediabrands, the media arm of Interpublic Group (NYSE:IPG), and TubeMogul, a leading programmatic video advertising company, announced the launch of the first apprenticeship in the advertising technology industry. The program, jointly conceived of and designed by IPG Mediabrands and TubeMogul, signals both companies’ continued commitment to the programmatic space and to cultivating and investing in the talent necessary to its success.

Dubbed “The Ultimate Ad Tech Apprenticeship,” the program’s application process opens immediately, with successful applicants starting in June. Applications will be reviewed for the most curious, ambitious and creative graduate talent and will give successful candidates the opportunity to start their media careers at TubeMogul or IPG Mediabrands.

Successful applicants will embark upon an immersive one-year training program involving 6-month rotation between IPG Mediabrands and TubeMogul offices in California. During this time they will benefit from exposure to two complementary environments for innovation: a vast media agency capability at IPG Mediabrands, and an entrepreneurial, technology-focused organization at TubeMogul. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, candidates will have a 360-degree view of the digital business as well as market-ready skills in programmatic advertising.

“In this increasingly competitive marketplace, we are proud to pioneer new ways of cultivating talent. Our partnership with TubeMogul has always been about providing smarter and more relevant solutions for brands. The apprenticeship is focusing on the talent that is at the very foundation of our advertising technology and service offering. Empowering the leaders of tomorrow with programmatic knowledge is an integral part of our commitment to enhance industry wide automation,” said Nicole Craine, executive sponsor of the apprenticeship at IPG Mediabrands.

“As we enter a data-driven age where software powers the execution of brand advertising, there is a need for a new generation of professionals with distinct skills. This apprenticeship is specifically designed to foster that talent, combining IPG Mediabrands’ leadership in moving the industry towards automation with TubeMogul’s innovative, technology-driven environment,” said Brett Wilson, CEO and Co-Founder of TubeMogul.

Reflecting the values that both IPG Mediabrands and TubeMogul share, graduates will be selected upon their media sensibility and digital and creative flair. Join in the conversation at #AdTechApprentice.
