Hindustan Unilever & PHD India walk away with top honour at Mobillion 2015

At a star glitz evening of Mobillion 2015, Hindustan Unilever proudly bagged the award for Marketer of the Year and PHD India was honoured with the title of Agency of the Year at Digital Market Asia’s debut Mobillion 2015 in Mumbai.

Besides the two hallmarks, DMA also awarded 25 more trophies for excellence in the mobile space in India. In the category of best integrated campaign led my mobile – Ogilvy & Mather’s – Unlocking Skills to Empower India bagged the Gold trophy while OMD – Dalda Dial D and PHD Khusiyon Ki Doli were tied for Silver.

Spectacular performance was seen in mobile innovation with the highest number of awards. Tracking the overwhelming response to the category the jury decided to give away five Gold trophies in the category to PHD India Consumer 360, Maxus – Mobile Innovation for Hero, MediCom – Snickers, InMobi – HTC Hijak and PHD Kan Khajura Tesan.

The tally for awards continued further with one Silver to Madhouse – When gaming is good for you and three Bronze given to ixigo cabs, Mindshare – Mobile makes friendship with TV, and Maxus Global – Hangout with Internet.

Among the popular trends in the mobile marketing industry, mobile applications have made headways to lure the Indian consumer and in sync with this emerging trend the jury announced four awards in the category.

Mindshare – Appiness for Biker walked away with Gold, IRCTC for its IRCTC Mobile App with Silver, and Neo Ogilvy – Rich Mesaging as Story, storyteller & listener and Neo Ogilvy – Keep Calm & Stay Hausala Buland with a Bronze trophy each.

Likewise, award for best use of IVR was also given across four entries. There were no Gold trophies in the category but two Silver were given to Interactive Avenues – Dettol Banega Sawchh India and Neo Ogilvy – 800 Lifes Saved and two Bronze to PHD India – Sunlight and PHD India – Lux be the Star.

Over the course of past few months, social media has become synonymous with mobile and the Mobillion jury couldn’t agree more as they handed out four awards in the category of best use of mobile for a social media campaign. Madison – Keeping pace with the consumers secured Gold, Mindshare – Appiness for the Biker by the Biker ( its second award in the evening) and Mindshare – How did Malika become a friend to 15 mn bachelors? secured Silver and Interactive Avenues – ItchGuard: Kissa Khujlee Ka kissed a Bronze.

In the category of best use of SMS (short messaging service) only one Gold trophy was given away to PHD India for its campaign Khusiyon Ki Doli (its second award in the evening).
