Golin HK names new digital lead

Interpublic Group agency Golin has hired industry leader Ema Linaker as Digital Executive Director in Hong Kong.

Ms Linaker brings fresh thinking and skills, including mapping of the digital user experience journey to action, agile portfolio and program management, web and mobile application delivery, digital experience platform planning including CMS, WEM, and DMS, and finally, paid media planning including SEO and SEM.

Ms Linaker previously led Edelman’s Digital Marketing & Communications practice in the Middle East and before that, founded and built Social@Ogilvy, Ogilvy & Mather’s social practice, developing it into an eight-country regional powerhouse. Ms Linaker began her career at Google.

She will report directly to Hong Kong Managing Director Jane Morgan, who comments,“Ema’s expertise and drive are set to take our digital offer in Hong Kong and elsewhere in Asia to another level. Working closely with our growing data and analytics team, she’ll be able to forge ahead with strategic digital planning that is led by data-driven information and insights. What that means for clients is simply less risk with their marketing dollars and more concrete business results.”

Adds Ms Linaker, “Consumer, customer and employee behaviours continue to evolve alongside technology. Clients need a trusted pair of hands to help them navigate the needs of digitally empowered stakeholders and the demands of new business models. Golin will be that trusted partner.”

Ms Linaker’s appointment closely follows Stephen Millikin’s as Executive Director B2C and Ben Evetts’ as Executive Director B2B.
