AdPeople Japan Appoints Ed Thompson as Business Director
TOKYO – Continuing its rapid growth across Asia Pacific, AdPeople Worldwide announces the appointment of Ed Thompson as business director of its Tokyo office.
As a highly experienced marketer with strong business and entrepreneurial skills, Thompson brings a wealth of marketing consulting and strategic planning expertise to the AdPeople team. Having spent nearly two decades in Japan, he has a strong understanding of the local market and is fluent in the local language and culture.
Thompson joins from Wunderman International where he successfully led the planning and strategy department. Prior to that, he directed and managed his own marketing consultancy company.
Part of WPP and aligned under Wunderman, AdPeople Worldwide operates as a stand-alone network with global reach and offices in Denmark, the United States, Bangladesh, India, Singapore, China and Japan.
With a diverse client portfolio that spans across FMCG, technology and automotive sectors, AdPeople Tokyo offers integrated marketing solutions with a strong focus on digital, social media as well as data marketing.
With eyes set on expansion, the AdPeople Tokyo operation was launched in February 2013. Michel Mommejat was also appointed as managing director for AdPeople Asia Pacific in January 2014 to further build its APAC network presence and capabilities.
