Danish Musician Organization KODA has landed a contract with the Swedish streaming service Spotify.
Streaming music is popular, and especially the Swedish service Spotify has been a wish for many Danes during recent years. Therefore KODA long sought to enter into an agreement with the service…
“It is with pleasure that we now have an agreement - an agreement both KODA and Spotify is satisfied with,” writes KODA in a statement. KODA writes further that it’s ambition is that Denmark should be a pioneer when it comes to new ways to give consumers access to music.
“People want to have easy, unlimited and cheap access to music and if we can not offer it to them legally, the consumers will find illegal alternatives,” says KODA’s director, AndersLassen, in the press release.
Spotify is the world’s largest streaming service and has more than one million users. The service acts like a radio where you can choose between 13 million numbers. The service can be accessed with computer, phone or an iPod.
The subscription costs will be approx. DKK 100 per month or about USD 20 and the service will launch later this year.
